Chief Executive Officer of the Zongo Development Fund (ZoDF), Alhaji Halidu
Haruna has assured the youth of Zongos of the commitment of his institution to expand opportunities for skills Training and employment. He said President John Mahama has given clear directives on the development of Zongo communities with particular emphasis on employment, infrastructure development, sanitation, education and health.
Alhaji Halidu was speaking at a graduation programme for Skills Training organised by the office of the National Chief Imam in collaboration with FA Madara Jadore Foundation, at Fadama, today (September 18, 2025).

The programme which was organised as part of the 69th National Maulid celebrations involved 250 ladies from Zongo Communities who were trained in Batik making, Soap making, Pastries and Decorations.
While congratulating the graduands, the Ag. Chief Executive Officer urged them to utilise the training obtained to improve upon their lives. He made a passionate appeal to the youth of Zongo to embrace initiatives to be rolled out under the RESET AGENDA in order to boost their capacities and obtain gainful employment. He said the government of the National
Democratic Congress appreciates the loyalty and support of Zongo communities and will strive to ensure the holistic development of the communities.
He decried the location of projects previously located outside Zongo communities meant for Zongos. He conveyed the firm assurance that henceforth projects meant for Zongo
communities will be located in Zongos for the benefit of Zongos.
Alhaji Halidu also commended FA Madore Jadore Foundation and pledged to support the graduands to set up shops for the proper utilisation of the skills they have acquired.
The programme was graced by His Eminence the National Chief Imam, the Youth Leader (Sarkin Samari) of the Greater Accra region, Alhaji Salisu Maude, the Ceo of FA Jadore Foundation and other prominent personalities from Zongo Communities.
