Due to the multi-ethnic and cosmopolitan nature of Zongo communities, the Fund seeks to highlight the beauty of the diversity of these areas and the accompanying opportunities and challenges of diversity. The projects under this programme include Heritage Asset preservation and promotion (documentation of history/heritage, cuisine promotion and festivals), Ethno-religious dialogue (Inter-faith dialogue, Alternative Dispute Resolution platforms) and the promotion of tourism and culture through the development and promotion of existing tourist sites, in addition to the continuous discovery and listing of heritage assets and unexplored sites. The Fund has so far organized several ethno-religious dialogue sessions for peace promotions across the country.

The Fund has participated and contributed significantly to cultural and traditional programmes organized by Zongo Communities. It has financially support annual cultural activities such as the International Hausa Day celebrations, Bissa Youth programmes, Hausa Youth Ghana, among others.

It also collaborates with the National Council of Zongo Chiefs, the Hausa- Fulani association etc. Additionally, the CSSCs constructed by the Fund have emerged as efficient venues for the promotion of traditional, cultural, sporting and religious activities thereby fostering peaceful co-existence, cohesion and communal harmony.

In 2022, the Fund organised a Capacity building conference for Chiefs, Imams, Magajiyas (Women leaders), Youth and Opinion leaders in the Southern and Middle Belt regions.

The theme for the conferences was “Peace and Security in Zongo Communities – Changing the Narrative.”
