In line with the Zongo Development Fund act (Act 964), the governing board exercises oversite responsibility for the attainment of the object of the Fund through policy leadership and guidance. There is an eleven-member body selected from a representative group including representations from The National House of Chiefs, National Council of Zongo Chiefs, Office of the National Chief Imam, the Chistian Council of Ghana, Council of Muslim Chiefs, Ministry of Finance etc.
